Outtakes is back!

Now that we have some time to breathe after the holidays, we have time to blog too! Yay! So we are starting off with another addition of outtakes. This session was a while ago, but we couldn’t resist showing off this cute little guy. Is his hair not the cutest?!?

Kerri McCulloch, Marketing Director

The last time my children made me laugh was… when my son, who is only 8 months old, let his 2 ½ year old nephew hitch a ride on the back of his walker and tote him around the house on those tiny little legs!

 _______________

I realized I have turned into my mother when… I buy multiple dresses for the same occasion and bring them all home with the hopes of it being easier to make a decision resulting in multiple returns to follow. I bought 8 dresses for my work holiday party last year and I didn’t even make it because I had my son that day!    (Editors note: She chose great clothing for her shoot! We hope she didn’t have to buy too much!:-))

What surprises me most about parenting is… the ability to let me see perspective and not sweat the small stuff.

 _______________

If I had an entire day alone with no responsibilities, I would… spend it at a spa or shopping.

Overall, how did you feel your photo session went?

Unbelievably well considering it was so easy and quick, which is great for a baby!

 _______________

What was your favorite part?

Watching Liam light up and smile so much without even being in the room

What do you love most about the images we captured?

There were so many it was hard to choose and they couldn’t have captured his personality better!

 _______________

Any tips to other moms about what to expect from your session?

You may only be there a short while but you will have more than enough to choose from. choose simple, minimal color clothing to complement Andie’s natural style.

Thanks Kerri! We had a great time with your family, and we can’t wait to see you again!

We made it!

Well we made it through another Holiday season, and now we are looking forward to what 2012 has in store. There are some HUGE things happening around the studio, so be sure to keep checking for some big announcements.

One of the new things we are offering this year is Limited Edition Sessions. We will offer these each month, with a different location or style for each one. To start things off, we are having our first day of Limited Editions on January 16th. These will be 20 minute sessions on our beautiful damask backdrop. Each session includes a DVD of at least 10 images in high resolution format for $700. A great deal for sure! We posted this offer on Facebook a couple weeks ago and filled up pretty quickly, but there is still one spot left if you are interested! Call 214-821-8477 to grab it before it is gone!

Rich tones and textures look great with this backdrop. I just love the feel of these images!

Happy Holidays!

Wow what a year! We are thankful to all of our clients who we were able to see this year. It is truly a honor to capture these wonderful times for you.

The studio is taking a well deserved break for the holidays, and we will be closed from Dec 20- Jan 4. We hope you are able to enjoy lots of time with your precious families over the next couple of weeks, and we hope to see you next year!

Outtakes

Time for another edition of Outtakes! This time we feature Molly and her adorable little guy Quinn. She keeps busy as a medical sales rep and keeping up with Quinn! We just wrapped up the Baby Plan for them and we had a great time at each of their sessions. Here is what she had to say:

Even though Quinn was a little fussy, Andie and Catherine are so interactive and patient, they always get great shots! I loved pulling out the “big guns” with Laughing Elmo and finally getting a smile out of him.

Tips for moms coming for their session? Bring very simple, basic outfits. Also try to bring some toys that will get your baby’s attention. Most importantly- don’t stress! Andie will get some great images.

The last time Quinn made me laugh was…

Let’s see… he does all the time! When he was “playing” with our cat Lady. He gets such a kick out of her. She just sits up and bats at him and he just laughs and laughs.

I realized I have turned into my mother when…

I wipe Quinn’s nose with my hand.

What surprises me most about parenting is…

How happy/sad I am all the time. Moments and stages pass so quickly. So happy and excited that he is thriving but so sad the the time goes by so fast. I try my best to enjoy every minute.

The gadget that saves me the most time is…

An apple! Quinn will sit and eat an apple for 15-30 minutes. I can get so much done while he is eating that apple.

My favorite rainy day activity is…

Read. Quinn LOVES to have me read books to him. He just crawls in my lap and away we go!

If I had an entire day with no responsibilities I would…

sleep, sleep, and then sleep some more!

Thanks for playing Molly! We can’t wait to continue to watch sweet Quinn grow.
