ARRGGHH!!!

Happy Halloween. Around here we celebrate all week, so I thought I would go ahead and post this now. This is my sweet little Sammy, he’s growing up so fast! He is ready to leave the nest and set sail around the world in search of adventure and treasure!

Ahoy matey!

(by the way my wonderful husband Kevin shot this composite, and I just love it!)

Piper

Here is an image of the beautiful, funny, stylish and wonderful Piper. She, along with her mother, father and little sister Paisley are in need of some major prayers. She was diagnosed this week with stage 4 lymphoma and is now undergoing treatment. She is a strong little girl and I know she is going to beat this, but she will need all the help she can get. Her mother is a good friend of mine (and the maker of our beautiful jewelry in the earlier post).

Please keep her in your thoughts and send lots of good vibes.

October 20, 2009 - 8:38 pm sylvia - what a beautiful young lady... and I LOVE her name. She's in my prayers and I wish her and her family the best.

Recent ballerina

One of our long time clients came in with her two girls last week. While mom was changing the baby, Kate and I had some fun with her tutu. I thought they turned out cute!

Another Graduate

We have several little ones graduating from our baby plan this month, so here is the first. Miss Gianna and her family are so sweet and it has been a pleasure to get to know them! On top of that, she is just so cute!!

Here she is at our first session, I believe she was three months old.

And then here she is at six months:

New Pretties!

Look what my good friend and fabulous jewelry artist Polly brought to me last week. OK, so I am not a product photographer, but these are stunning! We will now be offering pendants, keychains and charm bracelets featuring your beautiful children. These make wonderful holiday gifts for mom, grandmothers, or even dad (the keychain, not the charm bracelet, silly!)  :-)

October Special!

Around here we try to help out our community whenever we can. We are always looking for ways to help out in the community right around us (we donate to over 40 local auctions a year) and also the greater world wide community. That is why we are excited to announce our food drive for Refugee Services of Texas. They help about 800 families each year in Texas (about half of whom are in the DFW area) who no longer find it safe to be in their home countries. While serving the needs of our refugee community has always been a struggle, RST is setting records this month for the number of refugees coming into our area. So far in September, RST has helped resettle 236 refugees throughout Texas, including 90 in the Dallas area, most of whom are from Burma, Bhutan, Iraq, Eritrea, and Somalia.

One of the main things they need right now is food. So….. we are stepping in to help! For the month of October, if you bring at least 5 non-perishable grocery items to donate, you will receive a complementary 5×7 from us. Yes, that’s right .. a $69 5×7 is yours for just 5 grocery items (of course you are welcome to bring more if you like!)  :-) Please only one 5×7 per client.

So bring them in, I want to be able to deliver a HUGE donation to these people who really need our help.

Thank you!

September 30, 2009 - 2:59 pm Megan - I will definitely be taking advantage of this. What a great cause, Andie!

Great Color

This sweet little family came in last month and we had a great time. I thought the clothes they brought were good examples of bright and fun colors that don’t match perfectly but still go great together. Figuring out what to wear is always the hardest part of a photo shoot, so I try to post examples of what works well.
